Seasonal Gift Shop Team Member

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Job description:

If you love plants, cute decor, and supporting local artisans this one’s for you. Our gift shop is full of houseplants, home decor, jewelry, and more, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people find the perfect thing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting customers with gifts, houseplants, and decor
  • Running the register and handling transactions
  • Restocking, merchandising, and keeping the shop tidy and inviting
  • Answering product questions and making thoughtful recommendations

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone friendly, dependable, and genuinely helpful
  • Retail or customer service experience is a plus
  • Interest in home decor, houseplants, or gifting is a bonus
  • Flexible availability April through September
  • Rotating weekends required, not every weekend, we all share the load to keep things fair

Details:

  • Part-time, seasonal (April–September)
  • $12–$15/hour depending on product knowledge and customer service experience

Seasonal Garden Center Team Member

Job description:

Love being outside, getting your hands dirty, and spending your days in the warm sun tending to a garden? Blooms Garden Center is hiring seasonal team members to help us through our busiest and best months of the year.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping customers choose plants, flowers, herbs, and trees
  • Watering, restocking, and keeping the garden center looking beautiful
  • Answering questions and offering advice (we’ll teach you if you’re still learning)
  • Working as part of a friendly, fast-moving team outdoors

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive, reliable person who enjoys customer interaction
  • Plant knowledge is a huge plus, but not required if you’re eager to learn
  • Ability to be on your feet, lift plants, and work outside in all kinds of Iowa weather
  • Flexible availability April through September
  • Rotating weekends required, not every weekend, we all take turns so it’s a fair share
