Snow Plow/Skid/End Loader Operator for Snow Removal Crew

Job Summary
BladeWorks Landscaping is looking for a few experienced snowplow and skid/end loader operators to join our snow removal team(s). Valid driver's license and experience operating machinery required. As part of the snow removal team, you will assist in clearing snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots for various commercial properties in the Cedar Rapids / Marion areas. Hours vary and often include early mornings / late nights due to unpredictable winter weather; on call per Mother Nature.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and safely work around large equipment/vehicles to clear snow.
  • Correctly log and report hours to direct supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining safe driving conditions through the removal of snow and application of salt/sand.

Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable in reporting to work and recording hours.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs on a daily basis.
  • Must have valid driver's license, a safe driving/operating record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Experience operating skid and/or end loaders or snowplow required.

Wage is paid hourly based on experience, qualifications, and safety record. This is a seasonal position, however opportunities exist for year-round full-time employment in our Landscaping and Lawn Care divisions.

Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew

Job Summary
BladeWorks Landscaping is looking for a few hardworking individuals to join our snow removal team(s). Positions include sidewalk crew leaders and crew members. As part of the snow removal team, you will assist in clearing snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots for various commercial properties in the Cedar Rapids / Marion areas. Hours vary and often include early mornings / late nights due to unpredictable weather; on call per Mother Nature.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and/or safely work around large equipment/vehicles to clear snow.
  • Use shovel and other manual and mechanical snow removal equipment.
  • Correctly log and report hours to direct supervisor.
  • Crew Leaders will be responsible for working under the supervision of management in overseeing jobs sites and directing crew members.

Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable in reporting to work and recording hours.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift 50lbs on a daily basis.
  • Must have valid driver's license, a safe driving/operating record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
